Vietnamese company will perform exploration works at the Aral Sea, Tengrinews.kz reports. “Important issues were signed, for example, in oil and gas sector. KazMunaiGas will work on the Vietnamese shore, while Vietnamese company will perform exploration works at the Aral Sea,” Nursultan Nazarbayev told the journalists after the talks with Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang. Kazakhstan President also noted that Vietnam supports Astana's intention to host Expo-2017. “In general the views and positions of Kazakhstan and Vietnam on global regional issues coincide,” Nazarbayev stated. The meeting also covered a possible free trade zone between the Customs Union and Vietnam. “I think that the trade and economic cooperation brought positive results, however, it still remains small compared to our wishes. The heads of both countries discussed and agreed on the important directions of development of trade and economic relations and especially on the necessity of the soonest conclusion of the Free Trade Zone Agreement between the Customs Union and Vietnam, as well as on enhancement of cooperation in oil and gas sector, education and science,” Truong Tan Sang said.
