Kazakhstan manufacturers have ask Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (national railroad company) to speed up uranium deliveries to China, Executive Director of the Association of Mining and Metallurgic Companies and President of Kazakhstan Manufacturers and Exporters Nikolai Radostovets voiced the request at the 5th Kazakhstan Exporters Council, Tengrinews.kz reports. "We would like to stress that it is necessary to coordinate the transit at the territory of Russia with the Russian party. Besides, construction of Ust-Kamenogorsk-Shar railroad was completed last year. It can be used to reduce the transportation time from Zashita to Dostyk stations by 2 days," Radostovets applied to Kazakhstan railroad company. Currently KazAtomProm goods from Ulbinsk metallurgic plant to China are delivered partly along Russian railroads as Kazakhstan Temir Zholy still has not received the act of state acceptance testing of this new part of the road, so it can't use the shorter route. "We are calling to speed up certification of the part of the railroad from Ust-Kamenogorsk to Shar to transport hazardous cargoes of seventh category and also to step up development of transport infrastructure and improve administration of export operations," he suggested. The representative of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy Mukhtar Makhambet explained that the company currently does not have the act of the state commission on acceptance of this part of the road. "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy has received the survey acts and we are currently working on this. We will certify this part of the road upon completion of this survey by the end of the year," he said. Asset Issekeshev promised to bring this issue to Kazakhstan Ministry of Transport and Communications so that the period of certification is defined by the next Council's meeting on April 15. According to Nikolai Radostovets, transportation at this part of the road will speed up the turnover of the exporters' money and will allow to increase the production. Besides, it is also necessary to decrease the number of documents needed for export operations.
