KazMunaiGas and LUKOIL will sign cooperation agreements, Tengrinews.kz reports citing KazMinaiGas’ public relations department. The agreements are expected to be signed by the chairman of KazMunaiGas Lyazzat Kiinov and President of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov. “The memorandum of understanding between KazMunaiGas and LUKOIL sets up the foundation for cooperation of the companies on research of geological-geophysical data of unoccupied unlicensed areas, onshore and offshore, at the territory of Kazakhstan,” the message states. According to the public relations department, the plan is also to sign general agreements on cooperation in personnel management for research of technologies of production of aromatic hydrocarbons. “This program has been implemented since November 2011 when the experts of Atyrau oil refinery were trained at the factories LUKOIL-Permnefteorgsintez and LUKOIL-Volgogradneftepererabotka. Training of another 46 employees of Atyrau refinery is scheduled for this year. LUKOIL’s personnel, in their turn, are going to study experience of KazMunaiGas in the development of professional standards,” the department states. By Maksim Popov
