Two new Russian Ka-32 helicopters meant to deliver assistance to those injured in accidents and emergency situations have replenished the Kazakhstan Emergency Ministry's fleet, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing the press-service of KazAviaSpas, the Ministry’s rescue aviation company. The two modernized Ka-3211BC helicopters have already been delivered to Kazakhstan. The helicopters are equipped with state-of-the-art avionics enabling them to fulfill tasks in the severest weather conditions and fly in automatic mode in any time of day. Vladimir Bozhko, Emergency Situations Minister said that this model “is a real flying fire fighting vehicle.” The helicopter can drop more than three thousand tons of water at a time and fight horizontal and high altitude fire using a water cannon. Ка-32А11ВС is one of the newest Russian helicopter built with the use of most advanced technology. It was presented in KADEX-2012, International Arms and Military Equipment Fair that was held in Astana recently. These new aviation units of KazAviaSpas will greatly improve mobility of Kazakhstan Ministry of Emergency Situations rescue teams and will provide a higher level of protection of citizens in case of emergencies. It is expected that one of the helicopters will be stationed in Astana and the other one in Almaty. Ка-32А11ВС supplies is a new stage of cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan in the framework of 2011-2015 Salamatty Kazakhstan (Healthy Kazakhstan ) state healthcare development program.
