The overhaul will be made in Semei Engineering factory that is situated in Eastern Kazakhstan oblast. “Presidents of Kazakhstan and Ukraine started implementation of this project by signing an agreement on military and technical partnership. This joint project will enhance our military and technical relationship with Kazakhstan, strengthen positions of our country in the region and reveal new markets for export our military products manufactured jointly at Semei Engineering,” Dmitry Salamatin, Ukroboronprom executive director said. The project was launched after signing of the joint venture contracts between Ukroboronprom state concern, Ukrspecexport state concern and National company Kazakhstan Engineering on November 21. It is expected that ten T-72 Kazakhstan armored vehicles will be overhauled by the end of this year.
