Kazakhstan and Finland will establish joint production of high-tech cables, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the press-service of Kaznex Invest. “National Agency on Export and Investments Kaznex Invest took part in development and signing of 7 economic documents during the Kazakhstan-Finnish forum. A memorandum of cooperation with major Finnish company Reka Cables was signed. The company is going to establish production of cables in line with European standards that our country lacks,” the message states. In particular, according to the press-service Reka Cables plans to establish a joint company and produce high-tech medium-voltage polyethylene cables (10-35kVt). To implement the project, Kaznex Invest will support amendments to the state standards of production of cable products to replace the ones that have been in effect since the Soviet time. “Another memorandum of cooperation in green technologies was signed between Kaznex Invest and Finnish company PEATEC Oy that developed a technology of reconciling used tires and using them for production of liquid fuel, technical carbon and steel, as well as heat processing,” the message states. The agency stated that according to the legislation, over 90 percent of tires in Finland are processed and half of this volume is processed by PEATEC Oy. The newly-produced goods are new at the market and can substitute traditional oil products. Kazakhstan-Finnish business forum was held during the state visit of Finland’s President Sauli Niinisto to Kazakhstan.
