Head of Kazakhstan rail road reported on results of innovations

Head of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (national railroad company) reported on the results expected from the company's innovative projects at the meeting on innovation in the group of companies of Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund (NWF) on November 1, Tengrinews.kz reports. “The overall outcome from innovative projects in Kazakhstan Temir Zholy to be implemented by 2020, is to be expected at 379 billion tenge ($2.5 billion),” Askar Mamin said. The head of the national company presented 6 innovative projects at the meeting. Among them is the computerization of planning, control and billing of cargo shipments. It is also planned to launch production of new generation switch gear with Alstom Transport and introduce automatic control of operational parts of the rail road infrastructure. Apart from that, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy will incorporate a transparent national automatic system of managing passenger transportation and ticket reservation, as well as computerize station work and recording of consumption of locomotives.
