Member of Kazakhstan Parliament Romin Madinov thinks that creation of Kazakhstan's own grain terminal in the Far East would make the country independent at the world market, Tengrinews.kz reports from the meeting in the (lower chamber of the Parliament). “Being exporters, we heavily depend on external factors. Kazakhstan is the only country in the world that is one of the top grain exporters without an access to sea. We need our own terminal; one terminal in the Russian Far East in the area of Vladivostok or Nakhodka. It is understandable that railroad rates are high, but it is necessary to halve the rates under the Customs Union. This way we will be independent,” deputy said.
