Ethno villages to spring around Astana city

Ethnic villages will be constructed around Astana city, Tengrinews.kz reported from a meeting dedicated to preparations for hosting the EXPO-2017. “We need to have ethnic villages during the period of the fair. They will be built in the residential areas adjusted to Astana city within the radius of 30-50 kilometers and will follow the model of Olympic villages. Constructing the villages we will create a better infrastructure in the areas surrounding the city. This will help them flourish. Besides, ethno tourism is very attractive if properly organized,” President Nazarbayev said. According to Nursultan Nazarbayev, this kind of tourism is very popular in the West. He instructed the authorities to provide up-to-date roadside services along the tourist routes. “Load on inter-city highways should be taken into consideration. And this requires development of domestic logistics. There is also room for development of local aviation.
