Construction of three Almaty's ski jumps -- K-60, K-40 and K-20 -- will be completed this summer, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Director of the International Ski Jump Complex Ruslan Kantarbayev. The complex now has two jumps: K125 and K95. According to him, the construction works are currently at the completion stage and the plan is arrange demonstrative jumps. "A 6-floor jury section will also be completed by summer. Besides, the slopes are being improved and reinforced," he said. Kantarbayev also commented on the construction of the second stage of the complex that includes a hotel, gym and pool. "We are deciding on the construction and its financing. The money has been partially allocated. These facilities will be probably ready by the Universiade-2017," the speaker said. 1.5 billion tenge ($10 million) have been allocated from the state budget to continue construction of the International Ski Jump Complex. He also said that the Grand-Prix of the Ski Jump World Cup will be held in September in Kazakhstan. Similar tournaments were held in Almaty last year. The International Ski Jump Complex was erected in Almaty for the Winter Asian Games-2011. The complex' stadium hosted different concerts and competitions several times after the games.
