Kazakhstan Prime-Minister Serik Akhmetov has instructed to move the deadline of introducing Beineu-Bozoi pipeline section into service from 2014 to 2013, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Prime-Minister as saying at the meeting in Oil and Gas Ministry. “I am instructing to complete all the preparatory works for the second section of Beineu-Bozoi pipeline this year. Start construction not in 2014 but in 2013. I am emphasizing this once again,” Serik Akhmetov said. He also instructed the Ministry to develop and approve the general scheme of the country’s gasification in 2013 and pay special attention to gas supplies in rural areas. “As for the gas, our main objective here is to ensure stable and uninterrupted gas supplies to Kazakhstan citizens. We know that southern regions depend on gas supplies. I think that construction of Bozoi-Shymkent pipeline will help make gas supplies more secure, which is very important for the citizens. That’s why in line with the President’s instructions, it is necessary to launch the first section this year,” Serik AKhmetov said. Besides, according to him, gasification of northern and central regions of Kazakhstan and its capital has been on the agenda recently. “Many people are talking about its practicability. Many say that the project will not be implemented. I can say that the President has given a clear instruction in his Address to start implementing this project this year. That’s why this project has to start in March or in April at the latest. All the arrangements have to be made before the end of the first quarter and construction of this important gas pipeline has to start in April,” Kazakhstan Prime-Minister said. By Baubek Konyrov
