A plant producing energy-saving glass will start operating in Astana, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the press-service of Astana administration that refers to KazStroySteklo. "The first Kazakhstan's plant for production of plate energy-efficient glass is being constructed in Astana. The launch is scheduled for the first half of 2013. This will be the first plant in the country that will produce safe glass and heat and energy-saving glass panes," the official website of Astana administration writes. The new glass will have no competitors at the existing market because of the scope of innovative technologies used for its production. "Use of robots will be one of the special features. The glass production will comply with all the requirements of the global energy-saving technologies. This initiative is very timely prior to the international EXPO exhibition that will be held in Astana in 2017," the press-service writes.
