Kazakh-Czech center to build engineering plant in Kyzylorda

The protocol of intentions to create an engineering plant and a diversified enterprise for production of spare parts for Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (KTZ) has been signed by Kyzylorda oblast administration and KTZ, Kazakhstan's national railroad operator, Tengrinews.kz reports. Development of engineering in the region via modernizing and upgrading the Kyzylorda Depot is a significant step, Vice-President of Kazakhstan Temir Zhole Yermek Kizatov said.

According to Kazakhstan-Czech Technological Center JSC, the payoff period of the engineering plant will make 7 years. According to the Center’s head Serik Maselov, the share of the Czech company in the project is 67 percent. Thanks to the project, the oblast’s economy will receive 11.5 million Euro of investments. 115 new jobs will be created. 38 local experts will be trained for compliance with the European standards. A similar project has been implemented by Kazakhstan-Czech Technological Center in Astana.

The diversified enterprise will produces spare parts, shut-off valves and construction blocks for temperatures ranging from 60 degrees Centigrade above zero to 50 degrees Centigrade below zero. All the production will be aimed at supplying demand of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy. A representative of the financial-engineering company 4UP TRADE Baubek Nariman said that the construction blocks will be used to construct good housing for railroad workers at remote stations. The company will bring around 200 million Euro of investments into the obalst.
