Tengrinews.kz — Hot water services in the city, where temperatures are currently exceeding 40 degrees Celsius, will be suspended from July 20 to August 17, citing the Taldykorgan Akimat.

Repairs at a local boiler plant in Taldykorgan are set to begin on July 20, leaving the city without hot water for nearly a month.

The Baskuat plant was commissioned in 1980, and its infrastructure wear exceeds 72 percent.

According to TaldykorganTeploService, the plant undergoes annual scheduled maintenance as part of preparations for the heating season. The following will be left without hot water:

  • 835 apartment buildings;
  • 210 public institutions;
  • 1,285 private residential houses;
  • 1,322 other consumers.

"Maintenance will be performed on the primary equipment of the boiler plant and thermal networks, and worn-out components will be replaced. This will prevent emergency situations during the upcoming winter period and ensure reliable heat supply for residents," commented Abzal Zhagyparov, Director of KGP TaldykorganTeploService.

The company has asked residents for their understanding regarding these temporary inconveniences.
