Tengrinews.kz – Apple has warned users about a potential iOS vulnerability that could allow attackers to access data from a locked device in USB Restricted Mode, citing information published on the company’s website.
The company stated that physical interference could disable USB Restricted Mode on a locked device. It also noted that this vulnerability was likely exploited in a high-tech attack targeting specific users.
As reported by The Verge, this is a so-called "zero-day exploit"—a security flaw or malware for which no protective measures have yet been developed. To mitigate the threat, Apple has released an iOS update for iPhone and iPad.
