Sambo World Cup Stage in Almaty

A Sambo World Cup Stage was held in Kazakhstan's Almaty on January 24-27. It was the first stage out of four of the World Cup 2014. The Russian national team won the first place with 11 gold medals in 11 weight categories out of 22. The Kazakh team got the second place in the overall with 6 gold medals. And Belarus won the third place earning two gold medals. More than 350 athletes from 20 countries participated in the World Cup Stage.
