Tereza Fajksova of the Czech Republic won Miss Earth-2012 pageant that took place on November 24, 2012 at the Versailles Palace in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, Philippines. Olga Alava from Ecuador, crowned her successor Tereza Fajksova from the Czech Republic at the end of the event. 80 contestants competed for the crown in this year's edition.

Representatives of Kazakhstan have taken part in the contest several times. Margarita Kravtsova was the most successful among Kazakhstan participants in the pageant. She won the 3rd place in 2001. This year Svetlana Rastshupkina, winner of Miss Khan-Shatyr-2012, was supposed to represent Kazakhstan in the pageant, but she withdrew shortly before the event.
