The damage caused to Zhanaozen town during the clashes of December 16, 2011 is estimated at 250 million tenge ($1.7 million), Tengrinews.kz reports. This value was announced on March 29 by the lawyer representing the town administration. Earlier press-secretary of Mangistau oblast court Nurlan Kuntuov told the journalists that the third day of the trial should have Zhanaozen police officers to take the stand as the complainants.
