Compared to 2007, an average pension grew 2.6-fold and made 27,665 tenge ($187). One-time allowance for child birth was doubled on January 1, 2008 (up to 30 MCI, approximately $250). The child care allowance more than doubled. In 2011 the allowance for giving birth to the fourth child and on was increased more than 4.6-fold compared to 2007. “Evaluating these results, I think that we can talk of implementation of important parts of the social platform of the party, despite of the fact that it was formed in the good pre-crisis period, but had to be implemented during the terrible global crisis,” Massimov noted. The salaries of public sector employees doubled between 2007 and 2011, including a 25% increase in 2009, a 25 percent increase in 2010 and a 30 percent increase on July 1, 2011.
