Standard & Poor’s has upgraded its long- and short-term local and foreign currency credit ratings of Kazakhstan's Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the company’s press-service. According to the company, Samruk’s rating was upgraded from ‘BBB’ to ‘BBB+’ with stable outlook. “Such upgrade certifies of trust of Standard & Poor’s experts both to Samruk-Kazyna and Kazakhstan in general,” the message states. Earlier Standard & Poor’s retained Kazakhstan’s long- and short-term foreign and local currency sovereign credit ratings at 'BBB+/A-2' with stable outlook. Kazakhstan’s national scale rating hass been affirmed at 'KzAAA'. The transfer and convertibility assessment remains at ‘BBB+’.
