Investments of Samruk-Kazyna will make around 150 billion tenge ($1 billion) by the end of 2015, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Samruk-Kazyna chairman Umirzak Shukeyev as saying at the meeting of the company’s public council on development of local content. “Samruk-Kazyna Invest is to invest around 30 billion tenge ($203 million) into the joint projects with small and medium businesses in 2012. The investments of Samruk-Kazyna Invest will make around 150 billion tenge ($1 billion) by 2015. The priority will be given to the companies made from scratch and fueled by private sector initiatives and to those aimed at increasing the local content in production of goods and services procured by the fund’s group of companies in mining and processing at the territory of Kazakhstan,” Umirzak Shukeyev said. According to the chairman of Samruk-Kazyna, the fund’s companies opened 17 new production facilities worth over 50-51 billion tenge ($338-345 million).
