Umirzak Shukeyev, Chairman of Samruk-Kazyna, encouraged national companies to support BTA Bank by opening accounts and deposits in the finance institute, Tengrinews.kz reports.
“I want to underline that Fund Samruk-Kazyna supports the proposal on restricting of a part of the bank’s debt. We hope to achieve a compromise with the creditors committee. We think the situation at the bank will be stabilized, that is why I’m calling the national companies to support the bank all together now, including by opening accounts and deposits. I insist that there shouldn’t be any contradictory actions in relation to BTA Bank. This is a concrete and clear policy,” Shukeyev declared at the Fund extended session on February 3.
