Russia charms Uzbekistan with massive debt writeoff
Russia's President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday agreed to write off most of the debt owed by Uzbekistan in an apparent bid to steer the Central Asian country towards joining the Eurasian Economic Union, AFP reports.
