Kazakhstan's gross foreign debt totals $129.3 billion in Q1

Kazakhstan’s gross foreign debt as of the end of March totaled $129.3 billion against $123.8 billion as of the end of 2011, Newskaz.ru reports, citing the National Bank’s Press Service.According to the National Bank, in the Q1 2012 the foreign debt of the banking sector grew by 1.5% up to $14.8 billion.The share of the government’s external debt and state-guaranteed debt didn’t change, standing at 4.4% of the overall gross foreign debt, whereas the debt figure with no guarantees of the government remains at 95.6%.According to the National Bank, as of April 1, 2012, companies’ liabilities make up 49.1% of the gross foreign debt figure.
