Kazakhstan is ranked first among CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) countries by volume of foreign investments per capita, KazTAG reports citing Kazakhstan Deputy Prime-Minister Yerbol Orynbayev. “Kazakhstan is ranked first among CIS countries by volume of attracted foreign investments per capita. This number is twice higher than in Russia,” Orynbayev said during the Economic Policy Forum of the US Chamber of Commerce held in Astana on Thursday, June 23. As per Orunbayev, Kazakhstan have attracted over $126 billion of foreign investments since 1991. “We are the leader in Central Asian region by volume of attracted foreign investments. Over 85 percent of all foreign investments in the region are flowing into Kazakhstan,” Vice Prime-Minister added. He also said that active attraction of foreign investments will become “a reliable foundation of stable long-term economic development of Kazakhstan.”
