According to Mr. Gregory Marchenko, Head of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, in 2010 the nation grew its imports by 10.3%, a Tengrinews.kz journalist reports. In 2010 imports figure stood at $ 30.4 billion, against $ 28.4 billion in 2009. The National Bank’s press-release reads that the surplus of the trade balance made up $ 28.9 billion, nearly twice up against 2009. Today Almaty hosted a press-conference of Gregory Marchenko, Head of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, and Daniyar Akishev, the Bank’s Deputy head.
