Ex-chairman of abrogated agency got a job in Samruk Kazyna

Former chairman of the abrogated Financial Supervision Agency Yelena Bakhmutova will work in Samruk Kazyna Sovereign Wealth Fund, Novosti-Kazakhstan reports citing chairman of the National Bank Gregory Marchenko."A managing company to manage government's stakes in BTA, Alliance bank and Temirbank” will be created, Marchenko said.Marchenko also said that ex-chairman of the abrogated Agency for Regulation of the Regional Financial Center of Almaty Arken Arystanov will work in Kazpochta (Kazakhstan state post service): “As far as I know, Arken Arystanov will go back to work in Kazpost,” said the chairman at the briefing in Almaty.On April 13 Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev issued a decree to abrogate the Financial Supervision Agency, the country’s banking sector regulator, and the Agency for Regulation of the Regional Financial Center of Almaty. Their respective functions have been transferred to the National Bank of Kazakhstan .
