China’s investments into the Kazakh economy reached $13 billion, KazTag Agency reports, citing Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce Jiang Yaoping as saying. “Mutual investments have been continuously rising. Chinese investments to Kazakhstan as of today stand at $13 billion”, he said when speaking at a sitting of the Kazakh-Chinese sub-committee for trade and economic cooperation. He pointed out that the actual Kazakh investments into 203 projects implemented within China stand at $48 million. “According to China’s statistics, trade turnover last year reached $24.95 billion, 22% up against 2010”, the Vice Minister said adding that Kazakhstan is the 2nd largest trade partner of China within the CIS. According to the Kazakh side, the 2011 trade turnover stood at $21 billion, 50% up against 2010.
