15 million tenge ($1 million) have been transferred to Zhanaozen residents support fund, Tengrinews.kz reports citing an official representative of Mangistau oblast administration. “We have been receiving the requests for creation of the special support fund for Zhanaozen very frequently. In this relation we inform that such fund already exists and has around 15 million tenge. The work on helping the victims and their families is already in process. The compensation will be transferred to personal accounts of the addressees in the nearest days. To ensure the fund’s transparency, we will constantly provide information via the media on the amount of money received and spent,” Nurbol Telegenov said.
