Aibek Smadiyarov, spokesman for the Kazakh Foreign Ministry, said that awareness of the missing woman was initiated by her parents' appeal. The family of the 40-year-old woman reported her missing after they say she failed to return home.
"On June 5, 2024, citizens of Kazakhstan appealed to the Consulate General of Kazakhstan in Frankfurt am Main regarding the disappearance of their daughter on June 3. This application has been taken under special control by the Consulate General. Our diplomats immediately contacted the local police, and they have already begun searching process" - he said.
Kazakh authorities are currently working with the German side to obtain a visa for the relatives of missing woman, so they can come to Germany from Kazakhstan.
"Our consul visited her home and met with her family. Local police assured us that they would conduct a thorough search. Additionally, our Consulate General and Embassy in Berlin sent a corresponding appeal to the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs to keep this issue under special control", - noted Smadiyarov.
