Tengrinews.kz – A camera trap in Charyn National Park captured rare footage of a roe deer with two fawns in the Sartogay tract.
The park shared the images on Instagram, noting that roe deer play an important role in the ecosystem by contributing to vegetation renewal. Their numbers and health also serve as an indicator of the natural balance.

According to the park, the photos were taken on July 7 but released only recently.
"The presence of roe deer with offspring confirms successful reproduction of the species and highlights the importance of ecosystem conservation," the statement said.
The roe deer is described as a slender animal, 80–100 centimeters tall and weighing 20–40 kilograms. Its coat changes color with the season: reddish-brown in summer and gray in winter. Males grow small antlers that they shed and regrow annually.
Charyn National Park is home to around 56 Siberian roe deer.
Roe deer were also captured on camera in the Kolsai Lakes National Park in Almaty region. The video was shared on the park’s official Instagram page.
