Albino porcupines, fawns, ponies, moufflons, a colt, wolf cubs and gannet cheepers have been born in Almaty Zoo since the beginning of this summer, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing Channel 7. According to the zoo keepers the birth of gannets has become a real sensation for the ornithologists. It is the first time in 20 years when these birds have brought offsprings at the pond. Usually the eggs of these birds lay in the hatcher, but Almaty gannets have hatched the nestlings on their own. About one hundred baby-animals have been born at the Almaty zoo this season. It is expected that giraffes will deliver their baby in August. It is a rare chance when African animals breed in captivity that is why Sulu’s pregnancy is a very important event for the zoo. The zoo keepers say that the animals are breeding because of good feeding and care.
