According to the ministry, 17 children have been discharged to date, while 75 students are still hospitalized, and their condition is considered stable.
"Since September 6, 460 children have sought medical help in the region with similar symptoms - fever, diarrhea, vomiting, and weakness. Of these, 92 were hospitalized. All patients are receiving antibacterial and detoxification therapy, as well as symptomatic treatment. Doctors are using modern methods of rehydration and intestinal microflora normalization, which has significantly reduced the severity of symptoms in patients," the ministry reported.
The Ministry of Healthcare noted that on September 8, a telemedicine consultation was held with the participation of specialists from the National Coordination Center for Emergency Medicine. A team of infectious disease specialists and gastroenterologists from Astana Medical University was also sent to the site and continues to coordinate the treatment.
"On September 10, by order of the minister, Deputy Minister of Health Yerzhan Nurlybayev arrived at the site. He visited the hospital and met with the medical staff. The situation is under the personal control of the minister," the Ministry of Health reported.
There was also a case when one child died and three were injured in a road accident in Mangystau Region.
