Ermukhamet Ertyssbayev, Kazakhstan Nazarbayev’s Advisor on Political Issues, calls to abstain from any speculations over the tragedy that happened at the Kazakh-Chinese border, Inerfax-Kazakhstan reports. “It was a tragedy. Its’ not something we should speculate over. A thorough investigation is under way. Special bodies are working to reconstruct what happened. To the best of my knowledge, the ultimate explanation will be there in a few days’ time. The authorities are not interested in concealing the truth, for definite. It is of paramount importance to find a sound explanation”, Mr. Ertyssbayev said when speaking in a program on the local KTK TV channel. May 30 a border patrol unit at the Sary Bokter frontier post had discovered the burnt down Arkankergen border post with 14 out of its 15 frontier border guards.
