Parts of motorways closed because of heavy snow in South Kazakhstan

Parts of national highways in South Kazakhstan were closed bacause of bad weather conditions, Tengrinews.kz reports, referring to Kazakhavtodor national motorways company. Movement of heavy-duty lorries had to be limited due to abundant snowfall and poor visibility in Zhambyl oblast at Almaty-Tashkent-Termez motorway (530 - 593 kilometers of the road, from Aisha-Bibi part to the border of Southern Kazakhstan oblast, and also 214 - 143 kilometers at Korday – Otar part of the highway). Traffic was restored on November 15 at 06:00 am. The motorway was closed in Southern Kazakhstan oblast as well. The traffic was limited for all means of transport at Almaty-Tashkent-Termez motorway due to bad meteorological conditions on November 14 at 23:00 p.m. (593 – 658 kilometers of Shakpak baba – Ryskulov part of the road). The traffic was restored on November 15 at 06:00 a.m.
