Kyrgyzstan President Almazbek Atambayev expressed condolences to Nursultan Nazarbayev over the plane crash in South-Kazakhstan oblast, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the press-service of Kyrgyzstan President. “Today, on December 26, 2012, Kyrgyzstan President Almazbek Atambayev has sent his condolences to Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev over the crash of the military plane in South-Kazakhstan oblast of Kazakhstan that claimed lives of commanders and militarymen of the Border Control Service of Kazakhstan National Security Commission,” the message states. “On behalf of Kyrgyzstan people, the President asked to pass deep condolences and words of support to the families of the victims.” Earlier Nursultan Nazarbayev expressed condolences to the families of the crash victims. He instructed to investigate the causes of the plane crash and render necessary support to the families of the victims. Military plane AN-72 of the Border Control Service of Kazakhstan National Security Commission crashed at 06:55 p.m. on December 25, 20km from Shymkent airport. The plane had 7 crew members and 20 militarymen onboard, including the acting head of the Border Control Service of Kazakhstan National Security Commission Turganbek Stambekov.
