It may take over a year to investigate causes of the Challenger-200 crash near Almaty, Tengrinews.kz reports citing chairman of the Civil Aviation Commission of Kazakhstan Ministry of Transport and Communications Beken Seidakhmetov. “The investigation is still underway and the results have not been submitted yet. There are no deadlines. The accident was very serious. Investigations of such accidents normally take a year or more,” Seidakhmetov said. On January 29 one of the Bombardier airplane owned by Scat airline crashed 7km from Almaty airport during its second attempt to land.
