Families of plane crash victims will get 5 to 15 million tenge

Families of victims of the military plane crash near Shymkent will receive from 5 to 15 million tenge ($33-100 thousand) each, Tengrinews.kz reports citing press-service of the Border Control Service of Kazakhstan National Security Commission. “All payments depend on the allowance of every victim. The family of every militaryman will receive a 5-year allowance. The amounts will make from 5 to 15 million tenge, depending on the monthly payments the militarymen have been receiving,” the press-service stated. A special account was opened for money transfers to the families of the victims. The personnel of Kazakhstan National Security Commission has transferred their one-day salary. Members of the Majilis also made a decision to transfer their one-day salary. Besides, Akim (Governor) of South-Kazakhstan oblast met with the families of the victims and transferred 1 million tenge to each of family. According to the Akim, this money was collected by the oblast citizens. Earlier new acting head of the Border Control Service Abai Brekeshev said that the families of the victims will be supervised by the Border Control Service and the constant support will be rendered to them. The AN-72 military plane of the Border Control Service of Kazakhstan National Security Commission crashed at 06:55 p.m. on December 25, 20km from Shymkent airport. The plane had 7 crew members and 20 militarymen onboard, including the acting head of the Border Control Service of Kazakhstan National Security Commission Turganbek Stambekov. By Aidana Ussupova
