Tengrinews.kz - A rock collapse occurred at one of the mining and processing complexes of AK Altynalmas JSC in the Zhambyl region. One worker remains trapped under the rubble, according to the company's press service.
An emergency rescue team has arrived at the scene, and a search and rescue operation is underway.
"Access to the collapse area is severely restricted due to the movement of rock and challenging geographical conditions. The company has initiated an investigation into the accident, and all necessary measures are being taken to locate the worker trapped under the rubble," the statement said.
A working group has been established following the incident. A special commission is investigating the circumstances and causes of the emergency.
Earlier, three people were injured during the testing of gas equipment in a private house in Karaganda.
