Snow avalanches are highly probable in the mountainous areas of Almaty oblast on February 24-26, Tengrinews.kz reports citing press-service of Almaty Emergency Situations Department. According to the Department, KazHydroMet (national weather service) has issued a storm warning in relation to the unstable condition of snow and the risk of avalanches. The Department is calling the tourists to be careful in the mountains.
