Tengrinews.kz – Due to adverse weather conditions, students in grades 0 to 9 in Astana will switch to remote learning on Wednesday, December 10.
The city’s Education Department announced the decision, stating:
“Due to worsening weather conditions, students in grades 0-9 of the first shift will transition to remote learning on December 10, 2025.”
Meteorologists had previously published the weather forecast for Astana for December 10–12. According to their data, a northern anticyclone will bring severe cold starting December 9.
On December 10, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy with no precipitation. The wind will be from the north, with speeds of 9-14 m/s at night and 3-8 m/s during the day. The temperature will drop to -24 to -26°C at night and -18 to -20°C during the day.
