President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev said that all the universities in the country should be engaged in scientific activity, Tengrinews reports citing the press service of the President.
On July 11, Nazarbayev visited "Bayserke-Agro" LLP industrial enterprise as part of his trip to Almaty Oblast in central Kazakhstan.
The president called to integrate the educational process in Kazakhstani universities with science and industry. "All the universities should pursue science. Laboratories should be created in universities, as well as technical bases for pilot projects necessary to further the country's production," Nazarbayev said.
Visiting “Bayserke-Agro” in this case is not arbitrary. The enterprise is an educational research and production center. Here, modern technologies are introduced in cultivation. The enterprise, created together with the Kazakh National Agricultural University, specializes in agriculture, stock raising, and meat and milk processing. It has a scientific and industrial training center, which includes two veterinary pathology-anatomy labs and laboratories for livestock feed analysis and agricultural chemistry.
During his visit, the research and production center presented new varieties of crops, pesticides, bio-fertilizers and veterinary drugs developed by Kazakhstani scientists. Modernized machinery and livestock facilities were also exhibited.
Nazarbayev said that it was necessary to “use the power of science to its fullest” because it is only in such a case that Kazakhstan will be able “to achieve progress in the agricultural sector”.
