Leading soloists of Astana Opera House Zhupar Gabdullina and Dina Khamzina are training at the Vocal School of world-renowned La Scala theatre in Milan, Italy, Tengrinews reports citing the press-service of Astana Opera.
Zhupar Gabdullina and Dina Khamzina are taking a series of classes and workshops with the Academy’s outstanding instructors.
On September 22-26, the Kazakh soloists have been working on their parts of Aida and Amneris from Verdi’s Aida that will premier in Astana Opera in the coming November. They have intensive classes six hours per day.
Zhupar Gabdullina said that path to perfection consisted of many components. “Performance during every single class should be better than that during the previous one. Requirements to singers are very high these days, but one should not forget that there are many opportunities for improvement. To achieve the desired result, we are going to the opera’s cradle to train, like many great foreign singers do. (…) I hope that these workshops will be useful for me to improve the complex image of Aida. We will be working on nuances of clavier in the part, as well as working through the text, honing rhythm and tempo aspects,” she shared.
“Sometimes I tell myself I want to know my profession as twice two makes four, but it is not the multiplication table, there is always something new. I think the instructors will help use unleash our inner potential through rigorous work. The atmosphere and the spirit of the famous Milan Theatre disposes to productive work, " Dina Khamzina said.
