Representatives of the military-diplomatic corps accredited in Kazakhstan visited Zhas Ulan Public School named after General Sagadat Nurmagambetov in Astana, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the press-service of Kazakhstan Defense Ministry. “Students of Zhas Ulan School are provided with everything necessary for their studies. The education process is organized at the highest level. I was very interesting to see how it is organized in Kazakhstan. We don’t have such schools in our country,” Lithuanian military attaché Lieutenant Colonel Gitautas Yundzilla said after the visit. According to Kazakhstan Defense Ministry, the delegation included military attaches of the United States, Great Britain, Russia, Germany, Iran, Pakistan and others. “The guests were welcomed by the head of the state school Colonel Marat Botin. The school tour was guided by senior school students. The students were proud to show their school. Zhas Ulan Public School named after General Nurmagambetov is the only such (military) school in Central Asia. Students focus on advanced learning state and foreign languages and have intensive physical trainings. Along with other school subjects, they have military classes in their schedules,” the message states. According to the authority, the school moved to a new building 1.5 years ago. This was the first visit of military attaches accredited in Kazakhstan to the new building. Representatives of the military-diplomatic corps regularly visit military education facilities, different military facilities and monitor the course of military trainings as part of the international military cooperation,” the press-service writes. Zhas Ulan Public School named after General Sagadat Nurmagambetov is a boarding school for boys focused on professional military education.
