Kazakhstan National Academy of Choreography will open in April 2016 in Astana, Tengrinews reports citing the Minister of Culture of Kazakhstan Arystanbek Mykhamediuly.

“Construction of the National Academy of Choreography has already started. The land area is 10 hectares and it is located near the EXPO-2017 exhibition venues and the Botanic Garden that is one of the most beautiful sites of the capital,” Mukhamediuly said.

The opening of the Academy is scheduled for April because it plans to start enrolling students in May, the Minister explained. “It means that in Septermber 2016 we will have students in the Academy,” Mukhamediuly said.

“It will be one of the biggest in the Central Asia. Astana has all kinds of art centers. Take Shabyt (Kazakh National Arts Institute) for example and the Astana Opera theater. Opening of this academy will complete the art scene of Astana,” the Minister said.
