Tengrinews.kz – Kazakhstan’s gross domestic product is projected to exceed USD 300 billion for the first time this year, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced at the ceremony honoring the winners of the “Altyn Sapa,” “Paryz” and “Best Goods of Kazakhstan” awards.

“Competitive business is the foundation of any state. This year, Kazakhstan’s economic growth is expected to exceed 6 percent — the highest figure in the past decade. Moreover, GDP is forecast to surpass 300 billion dollars for the first time,” the President said.

Tokayev noted that Kazakhstan continues to prioritize infrastructure development and economic diversification.

“Therefore, the government must work actively to increase exports of finished products. Today, we have already achieved certain success in this direction,” he stated.
