Almaty has been hit by a severe dust storm, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the forecasts department of Almaty weather service. A lot of dust went up in the air because of strong gusts of wing and dry weather. Visibility has decreased dramatically. According to the weather service, the dust veil will remain in the air until evening. “A short rain with a storm are expected in the evening. The dust will go down only when it rains. Right now the wind is getting stronger and the air flows cause the dust masses to lift of the surface,” the experts said. The experts insist that this kind of dust storms are a normal occurrence for the summer period. “This is normal, when the weather is dry and wind becomes stronger before a rain.” By Dmitriy Khegai
