Tengrinews.kz – A 30-year-old Kazakh citizen was involved in a dangerous police chase in Phuket that resulted in several traffic accidents. Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry commented on the incident.
Chase and forceful arrest
According to local social media pages citing Phuket police, the woman drove an MG car erratically around the island’s roads for several hours, colliding with motorcycles and other vehicles. After receiving reports of the accidents, law enforcement officers attempted to stop the car, but the driver ignored their demands and tried to flee.
The chase ended near the old airport road, where the car crashed into a minibus and a motorcycle. Two people were injured in the accident.
To detain the woman, police officers had to smash the car window. It is noted that she had previously been involved in similar incidents.
An investigation into the incident has been launched.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it was aware of the detention of the Kazakh citizen in Thailand.
“The consulate is in contact with the competent authorities of the host country and is providing the necessary consular assistance,” Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry said.
The ministry emphasized that the circumstances of the incident are being investigated jointly with Thai law enforcement agencies.
