Tengrinews.kz — The activities of an organized crime group involved in the systematic theft of livestock have been stopped in the West Kazakhstan Region, according to the regional prosecutor’s office.
According to the supervisory authority, the group included veterinary doctors among its members. Over a long period of time, the members of the organized crime group stole farm animals and then sold them using a legalization scheme through information databases.
It is reported that the group was identified and dismantled with the involvement of the prosecutor’s office, which initiated covert investigative actions and issued the necessary procedural instructions.
All suspects have been detained and placed in custody. According to the prosecutor’s office, they are cooperating with the investigation. In accordance with Article 201 of the Criminal Procedure Code, other details of the pre-trial investigation are not subject to disclosure.
