Tengrinews.kz - A tragic incident occurred on August 16 at the "Emba Zhylu" enterprise in the city of Emba, Aktobe region, where two workers died from methane poisoning.
According to the Department of Emergency Situations in the Aktobe region, rescuers recovered the bodies of two men from a sewage pumping station. Both men were 58 years old. Two other victims were taken to the hospital by ambulance.
"The men, aged 46 and 53, were admitted to the Emba District Hospital with methane poisoning. They were hospitalized in the somatic department, and detoxification therapy is being administered. Their condition is satisfactory," the Aktobe Regional Health Department reported.
The regional police department launched an investigation under the article "Violation of occupational safety rules resulting in the accidental death of two or more persons."
